Fear the Walking Dead: Here to Help

Lead by Morgan and Alicia, the group lands in uncharted territory in search of survivors to help. But everything is not as it seems in this forbidding new land.
It's unclear how much of a time jump there was between seasons, but enough that the crew had sort of established themselves at the denim factory and opened their arms to a deafening silence. Nobody seems to want their help.
Unfortunately for the crew, they get sent on a wild goose chase (in a plane!) out to someplace that seems more than a little off-kilter by Max Headroom, who has decided that he wants his denim factory back. (He turns out to have been the co-owner along with Polar Bear, who started this whole post-apocalyptic truckers-helping-people enterprise.)
I do admire how this episode just jumped into the action and caught us up without having to mope around the denim factory for three episodes before the goose chase began.
But really, a bunch of stuff happens so that we can see Victor learn that Al met Daniel (called it), and he seems to be the guy with another plane that Strand & Co. might be able to use to reconnect with Mo-Mo & Associates. Awkward.
(Reading the TV Guide recap, I guess that the growler that Al goes back to investigate is connected to whatever group ended up with Rick Grimes from TWD. Funny that it is basically all that recap has to say about this episode.)
