Ernie sees someone from his past, hits rock bottom, and gets lucky. Liz goes to the mat for her employees, and is offered an opportunity. Connie is done being haunted by the end. Scott is released from his duty, and takes a drastic turn. Dud resumes his apprenticeship with Blaise. "I'll sleep when I wake up."

This was a rough episode. A lot of pain. A lot of trying and failing. Reckoning and disappointment. And then Paul, the writer, showed up preparing us for the bookend. All the magic and mysticism of the previous episode was checked this week with a reality wall.
