Anyone watching Midnight Diner?
MD recently showed up on Netflix, and we've been enjoying the show quite a bit. We're into the second series right now. Anyone else enjoying this little show?

Loved it. Think I'm all caught up unless something new has dropped in the past couple months. It's a cool concept, a hole-in-the-wall diner that serves the really late night crowd. Lot's of regulars, but some new story going on each episode.

Season 1 was there much longer than season 2 which has been there less than a year I believe.

There are two series, Midnight Diner (2009; three seasons) which appeared on Netflix recently, and Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories (2016; two seasons) which has been on Netflix for a while. They're about the same diner but otherwise separate. The 2009 series gives some backstory on the regulars in the 2016 series.

And I recommend both wholeheartedly. There's a dance scene in S1E9 of the 2009 series which had me transfixed.

One of you should really start a Fanfare thread though - this Fanfare Talk thread is going to scroll off into the void, and in future anyone searching the Fanfare show listing index will find no results. Seems a shame.

I'll start an all-inclusive Midnight Diner Fanfare thread as soon as the original 2009 series gets approved. For some reason, only the Tokyo Stories series is listed for Fanfare.

SO SO good.
The wife and I are extreme KDrama fans, and came across this several years ago, and watched it on Viki.
Now that it's on Netflix along with NEW seasons, we were ecstatic!
It's such a gentle, kind, fun sort of drama; with each little story both independent and part of the greater whole, especially those who continue coming to the diner to have Master cook for them.
Do yourself a favor and watch it.

Anyway! I've generally enjoyed it, tho I remember some problematic gender things in season 1 -- don't remember if there were similar moments in season 2 or not, and just started season 3.
