You know, I really enjoyed last week's episode, what with Grant Gustin's fun medley of Wells impersonations. But, oof, did not enjoy this one. Barry has been too stupid for too long for me to find speed-smart-Barry the teensiest bit believable, so I found his emotionless persona just boring rather than the creepy I guess they were going for. And are we going to have the next episode full of guilt-ridden Barry being forgiven by the team? Ugh. At least we got confirmation of the return of a Wells next week.

I enjoyed it but, yes, the "speed thinking" was terribly confused. It mixed up Barry thinking fast, which goes along with his super speed anyway, and Barry suddenly becoming incredibly smart with knowledge he hasn't acquired. Plus The Flash has already done genius who loses his humanity with the Thinker (and Supergirl did a version with Brainy last season). On the plus side, the delay in filming the final two episodes of last season allowed Danielle Panabaker to return earlier than expected and Killer Frost on Velocity X was very fun.

It will be interesting to see what they do with Wells Prime. Thawne killed him before Cisco and Caitlyn were hired, thus before S.T.A.R. labs blew up, so he'll be walking into a lab of total strangers.
