Iris' style and mine don't normally intersect, but I want that plaid suit (especially the jacket). Lovely.

That CGI abomination at that end was laughable. I don't want to spend the rest of the season looking at that.

As for the rest? I don't care. We've seen it all before. Barry appeals to the good in the villain of the week and makes him or her see the light. Been there, done that. Next. Admit the Arrowverse, with the exception (fingers crossed) of Legends has run its course and put us all our of our misery.

They seem to be leaning heavily into the cheesiness so far this season, which is a good thing for The Flash as far as I'm concerned. Bring on the CGI abominations!

Iris to Allegra early in the episode: "Readership is down, we have no money."
Iris to Allegra at the end of the episode: "It's about time I hired you on full time."

Between Iris, Lois, and the whole of CatCo, the Arrowverse writers sure have a *unique* take on journalism and media.

I was glad to see Barry talking down another of his enemies, but it seems on this show that if you're an enemy who becomes anywhere close to a friend, you gotta die. It's a shame.

I'm still getting used to my obscenely large new tv - while Netflix shows generally look gorgeous on it, broadcast tv filtered through Tivo tends to look a bit blown out. This Flash episode looked particularly garbage-y, so I'm kind of relieved that it looked bad to everyone, not just me.

Can the reveal this season be that Barry has understood for a few years now that the redemption of a villain inevitably leads to their death? That as the Paragon of Love he has been helping them reach inner peace just before their inevitable kakking. And that this is why Eobard Thawne has such a full hate-on for him.

Otherwise a decent paint by numbers season premiere which is setting up something? I am guessing a few more speedsters and CGI Smash. CGI Smash was pretty on par for a lot of their CGI. King Shark anyone?
