I really liked this one, the scenes between Poirot and Virginie were great, the whole concept of an origin story for his lapel pin were awesome. The murder was interesting enough, and the conceit of it being a cold case was fun, but the meat for me was all the surrounding aspects. Japp was great as always. Anna Chancellor was great to see as Virginie, it took me a minute to place her as Miss Bingley from the BBC Pride and Prejudice adaptations that I watched a lot growing up.
