"What if the X-Men were shitty people?" turns out to be a terrific premise.

Oh, are we doing a ep-by-ep (re)watch? I might have to pick this show up...

I'm gonna stay with it, yeah.

I'm staying with it as well. "What if the X-Men were shitty people?" is funny, but so far the show seems a bit more nuanced than that.

When I saw this the twist with the young woman Nathan hooks up with was a huge surprise. And I like that at the end Nathan almost redeems himself...but not quite.

I have had many nightmares where I accidentally murdered someone, hid the body and then had to lie to their loved ones. This TV show brought those nightmares back hardcore.

Oh for sure. My more serious take is that the way the show doles out powers is brilliant and perfect tailored to each character. Simon, who nobody noticed? Can be invisible. Curtis, whose whole life fell apart because of one bad choice, get the ability to go back in time to change something. And on and on.

Neat! So all kinds of people get various kinds of 'powers.'

Nathan remains a twerp. At least he didn't loot the place or squat there.

I'm looking forward to whether Kelly's background and power will get explored cleverly.

They will explore Kelly, but you can already pick that one up by this point: she's a little low class and worries what people think of her... and she gets the ability to know what people think.

It took a few episodes to make the connection, Simon feels invisible so that’s his power, etc. I like discovering their powers slowly but the opening credits told us all along.
