Helix: Mother

Everyone's looking for the Mother tree, except Peter, who's wondering around in the basement of the Abbey with Anne. Lots of crazy shit ensues.

I really hope Amy is made immortal, because I'd watch the hell out of any 3rd season with her. It'd be crazy.

I think this is also the first time I've ever seen any show have a kid say 'shit'. That shocked me almost as much as the ending. Though that ending... ug, did all the cultists know about it? If so, I'm glad a bulk of them died.

Isn't Amy great? She's the perfect super-villain, smart and bold, with a batshitinsane streak that makes her a bit unpredictable and pure fun to watch. Think about, Julia says she's going put an immortal fetus inside her, to carry and Amy caresses her belly, her voice and face soften in joy and she says "I'm going to be a mommy?". Literally a minute earlier she was threatening to smash the fetustainer herself.

I wonder how much she knew about the breeding farm? Probably didn't, she was just grossed out by her mom offering her to Michael. Which in retrospect was Anne trying to save her, but still..EWWW.

I think that is the big question: who knew about this breeding program? Quite possibly a lot of them did, I imagine there'd be a lot of support that would need to be given. That room looked large.

And that goes into what I mentioned a few episodes ago, that this show never stops showing us new locations when it suits it. It has that dreamlike aspect to it. I wouldn't be surprised for them to stumble into Michael's hidden treasure cave in the next episode.

I also wouldn't be surprised if they introduced time travel or an alien origin for the the immortals. (I would be surprised though, if someone in this show did something logical and smart.)

And oh, did they establish that the global Narvic C virus was released? Seems they've let that slide, but led us to think it's been released.

No, Julia said there were days away from doing so, hence her urgency.

It's interesting how we haven't gotten much info on the background of the Immortals. There's 500 and they all seeming became immortal at the same time. Could be aliens, could be Merlin's lack magic spell before he traveled to Valhalla in a rocket provided by the aliens.

Quite possibly a lot of them did, I imagine there'd be a lot of support that would need to be given

See, that's a logical answer, which isn't a factor on this show!
