John and Laura Baxter (Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie) move to Venice after the tragic drowning of their young daughter. There they encounter eerie visions, omens, psychic sisters and (of course) murders.
This is one of my favorite films but I had a very hard time summarizing it, and you'll see why once you see it. A very strange film and unnerving. Adapted from a short story by Daphne du Maurier and directed by Nicolas Roeg (Walkabout, The Man Who Fell to Earth, The Witches).
