Ever since watching The Celluloid Closet, whenever a show kills off a queer character, I get a flash of the end of the end of the documentary, where they scroll a list of character names with their ending, just this never-ending scroll of murders & suicides. So, although it's pretty much a given that any character who is friends with an amateur detective like Miss Fisher (or Jessica Fletcher) is at risk of they and/or their friends/family/co-workers being fodder for the murder-of-the-week machine, and Dr. Mac did get to keep her job and get to make Aunt Prudence eat humble pie, it still makes me mentally add another name to that sad credit scroll.
Loved action!Dot too though. And again love to see Jack's millisecond of a reaction in comparison to Hugh's .

God, can I just note here my feeling that Dot could do a whole lot better than Hugh in the brains department? First of all, his complete stupefaction on seeing her could easily have given the game away. On top of that, he insisted on following her around calling her Dot at the top of his voice, and in fact did make the killer suspicious. If being undercover was so very dangerous, the least he could have done was not blow her cover.
