A reprimand, a play,and secrets revealed.
I'd thought from the title that this would be another episode featuring Shosh in Japan, but the Kitty in the title refers to Kitty Genovese, the subject of Adam's play.
The Hannah/Fran dynamic continues to infuriate me. They're so ill-suited and always seem to be unhappy or annoyed with one another. We never see them having any fun or any conversation that isn't an argument. Surely neither of them is so needy that they have to stay in such a miserable relationship.
Fran is so clueless that he couldn't even work out that Hannah's sobbing apologies after she saw Adam walk off with Jessa had nothing to do with the fight he and Hannah had earlier that day and had everything to do with her still being in love with Adam.
After last week's tiny glimpse of self-awareness, Marnie has reverted back to her normal self-centred shallowness. The look on Desi's face when Marnie said they'd get back together "but just as a band" was pitiful. And why would she tell Ray she'd split with Desi if not to fuck with him?
I liked the idea of the play set in the apartments. I've been to something similar set in hotel rooms and it's great - if everyone's quiet. Count on Hannah to be that person.

I don't think she's in love with Adam. I think she feels betrayed by Jessa.

Hannah is a rampaging monster consuming everything in her path and Fran is the innocent bystander with a baby carriage with himself inside, screaming and pointing but unable to move.

I still think that might not exactly be true, and he somehow got some money to book a tour and then came up with some story just to be with her.
And why would she tell Ray she'd split with Desi if not to fuck with him?
Because without the Mumford or Son, she needs someone to give her attention. Considering Desi seems to be the type with the tendency to overshare, I would't be surprised if he told Marnie how Ray still has feelings for her. And she's seeing if Ray bites.
