There was some great dark humor in his episode ("She still looks radiant," pretty much all the fake Pat that's really just so Tandy, ie. the jeans with "Thanks a lot he said sarcastically!" written on them).

I'm also glad that in the end we got to hear Erica point out the obvious plot device, because that was bugging me the whole time.

Yeah, this was an interesting route to take on Tandy's... redemption, I guess. He was genuinely trying to be a good person, comforting his friend, but he's still not really bright enough to pull it off.
