Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: Josh is the Man of My Dreams, Right?

When the Santa Ana winds blow into town, they cause everyone in West Covina to act a little strangely and question their relationships and priorities.
I might have been a bigger fan of this episode (maybe) if I knew what the Santa Ana winds were beforehand. That song is super stuck in my head though.
I like how they are humanizing Nathaniel without backing down on how much of a entitled jerk he really is. I didn't think the ballroom song was that great musically, but it was definitely like, yes, this is pretty much exactly how this guy thinks.

I grew up in SoCal and I never once heard the Santa Anas called "devil winds"! (And yet it seems to be genuine.)

Also, so … that whole thing where Rebecca works for Nathaniel came up only in her dream but apparently not in real life?

The Santa Ana winds once knocked a small tree down on me. Definitely devilish. I enjoyed the episode, but it did feel a little slack.

Daryl's song plucked at my heart strings.
This is not going to end well. Nathaniel clearly has it bad for Rebecca too...
Total aside: A funny thing about a. moving to SoCal and b. watching CXG is I start discovering how much of Marion Zimmer Bradley's "Darkover" series was based on California. Trees with flammable resin that explode in fire? Pretty much eucalyptus. And the Ghost Wind, which causes people to get freaky, is totally the Santa Anas.

I'm traveling and had to watch this episode on the CW website. It was the worst! It seemed like it had more ads than you'd see on TV (maybe the DVR has spoiled me).
At the end, when Nathaniel reveals to George that he knew his name, were we supposed to believe Nathaniel when he said he just learned it? I would have preferred to believe Nathaniel knew it all along and refused to say it to stay trapped in the elevator.
Also, I'm a little surprised Paula didn't call Rebecca out on the bullshit lie about suddenly getting a wedding venue. Surely she knows Rebecca better than that? She's been involved in enough of her schemes.

But I'm so happy about Paula and about Darryl -- he's shown so much growth in this series (so has Paula, but his song!).
