The Magicians: The Cock Barrens Books Included

Quentin sees a ghost. Margo is thrust into a dicey situation. Julia seeks an answer, but does not like it when she gets it. Penny looks for magic moss, among other things.
As a book-reader, I like being able to discuss elements that show up in the show, and guess at what might happen next, which could count as spoilers in a show-only thread.

I like being able to comment about the books. I have to say though even as a book reader, I'm completely confused with where they are trying to go - admittedly, I did read the books some years ago. Like, was it necessary to show that Margo is short tempered? This whole "you have to have the baby to banish Reynard" also seems just 'what the fuck'?
Even though it's not in the books, I really did like the involvement of Alice's self obsessed parents in trying to preserve and save her.

How did they get SyFy to approve the name of this episode?

That was pretty well done. Highpoint of the episode for me.
Purpleclover, it's your baby. I think we've got so many deviations from the book it's almost pointless to do it but then again I've had a few moments where I've almost dropped book spoilers. For example I almost brought up Janet/Margo's ice axes in the other thread as an example of what a badass she becomes.

Pretty sure it's filthy light thief's baby, and I've borrowed it briefly. :)
Seems like people don't mind the two threads and they can dip in and out as they care to.

I imagine Reynard's other offspring will come up sooner or later. Who is male, forty, and 'influential'? Richard doesn't quite fit the bill.
