Two and her crew head to the planet owned by Dwarf Star Technologies. Was this a setup by Victor?
Who was the Matt Lauer lookin' doctor? He was familiar, but no credits on IMDB yet.

Yeah, the tortured synthetic human being black and having no lines was definitely a problem. I didn't register the point about Six being an absentee father, I guess the fact that his character has lines and feelings and development etc. kind of blinded me to that.
This show has set kind of a low bar for itself, and it's often in danger of not even clearing that. There are things I enjoy about it, but it seems like almost every episode comes with a big enough helping of "Really?" that it make it hard to get enthused about watching it.

Mallozzi is apparently a big fan of social media. Can someone point him this way (or an invite to MeFi from the mods)? I'd be interested in hearing his reasoning behind this scene with this character.

A cop-like character straps down a black man, tortures him, silences him, and tells him, "you are not a human being." That shit is fucked up. The black guy doesn't have any lines and all his scenes could have been cut without changing the story at all. That makes the scene's message feel very deliberate, very much intentional. That's a not-so-subtle message like those drugs are bad episodes that some showrunners like to write.
It was already weird when the writers made Six an absentee father for no reason. JFC. They even had to write in a scene with a character explaining why nobody told Six he was a dad back when his old life was revealed.
Fuck Mallozzi for this shit.
