Before this show ends someday, I really need Gorilla Grodd to throw a barrel at someone, preferably while wearing a red necktie.

That was reasonably fun, although I agree with the recapper who is frustrated by their inconsistency about 'is the cure a weapon in Cicada's case?'

I don't think they've been that inconsistent about it. I think only Barry thought about using it as a weapon against Cicada, and he only mentioned it to Ralph I think. Speaking of, where was he in this episode? No one even mentioned him at all. I guess the effects budget couldn't afford him? But they could've at least dropped a line about him doing something offscreen.

That was a fun battle but like AV Club said, too short.

Glad to see Joe up and about again! But now I'm wondering if there's too many characters for us to keep up with? Especially when these shows also have them cross back and forth, like Lyla.

So with all the running around at superspeed Barry and Nora were doing, the one point where they slow down and announce what they want to happen is before they pull the telepathic crown off Grodd's head, giving him enough time to mind zap the speedsters. I know, plot reasons dictated it, but that moment felt so forced and stupid.

It's always nice to see Lyla pop up on non-Arrow shows. After Arrow goes off the air, it would be a treat to see the show's characters guest star in other Arrowverse properties.

Yay for Joe's recovery.

I was very touched about Shay/Shark. I had pretty much forgotten everything about the dang man-shark, but the actor playing him and the love story between him and his wife from another world was very touching (even worked with Sherloque).

Iris, the news hound, missed the biggest story of the week. Shame, girl.

I do not think that you should hold out much hope after next season's Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. Lyla has used the code name Harbinger since she was introduced. It was a nice nod at the time, but it may be a thing in the times to come.

You're right about her codename and Harbinger's role as a key figure in Crisis (comic book version). They keep talking about one hero having to die, but as readers know, Crisis killed off a lot of people. We could easily be looking at more than one death.

The image of Kara holding Supes dead body has been in my head ever since I saw the tag at the end of the last crossover. I am just wondering who will be the stand-in for Wonder Woman with Psycho-Pirate.
