Arrow: Tribute
October 20, 2017 5:52 AM - Season 6, Episode 2 - Subscribe
Oliver tries to balance being the mayor, the Green Arrow, and a father to William. Meanwhile, Anatoly returns to Star City with a deadly agenda.
Ok I actually made that comment before finishing the episode and now I'm like
WHAAAAAAAAAAAT YOU CAN'T MAKE DIGGLE HIDE THAT SECRET BECAUSE YOU'RE TRYING TO SOLVE THE OTHER OLIVER-CAN'T-JUGGLE-TOO-MANY-THINGS PROBLEM

Agree with both of you about the secret-keeping stuff. It doesn't work Central City, and it doesn't work in Star City.
Out of curiosity is that the first time somebody has directly called Oliver GA? It would be so nice to be able to use that, as that's usually how I refer to the character. (I still can't call this version of civilian Oliver Ollie because he's still too dour and not enough of a laid back radical crusader.)
While I hate the rift that has come between Oliver and Anatoly, it was so good to see our favourite Russian back again. I hope he's got a strong story arc this season (even if it's a short one).
I wonder what the odds are on meeting members of the Markovian royal family. As for other DC references, they've name-dropped Bruce, whereas all they've ever done before is drop Easter Eggs about Hal. Somehow I figured Bat-related characters would be the more off-limit than GL Corps members.
I did like Curtis wondering about where John gets his money. Those kinds of questions need to be brought up on shows like this. Yes, they're all about suspension of disbelief, but that's so much easier to do when all of the other realistic pieces are in place to support the stories and characters.

God, I'm not interested in Oliver being a parent, especially if it's a buzzkill like this one.
If Oliver's been pegged as The Hood and The Green Arrow twice now, more people than just the FBI are gonna figure it out somehow. Admittedly, switching Arrows with Diggle and Roy and I forget if there's anyone else usually helps, but...what was said about secrets. Guh.
Yes, where does everyone get their money?

I don't know why they're making Diggle keep his nerve damage a secret. The writers need to stop relying on secrets inside the team as a plot devide.
