I, like one of the recappers, thought there was going to be some kind of ‘Helen is a meta’ reveal to explain her affect on people, if it wasn’t her demigoddess status as daughter of Zeus. Or for Sara to be influenced too. For it to be just ‘men are helpless in the throes of passion’ is pretty gross in light of the Kreisberg harassment situation going on behind the camera.

Good job on the Freaky Friday-ing though, that was fun.

Some of the online reviews explain away Helen's lure as Damien Darhk's magic at work, but I don't remember that from the episode.

Right?

They really needed to offer a meta/paranormal explanation for the way men were acting around Helen. Lacking that, basically that whole deal was gross.

Stuff I liked:
* Zari depositing Helen on Themiscyra. (I really like Zari generally.) Her actually listening to Helen and not treating her like a pawn in a larger game was a good thing.

* Hedy Lamarr. It was a nice change of pace to have the tech innovator they needed to save/inspire be a woman.

* Freaky Friday. I appreciated that Darhk was so amused by this he literally had to take a minute to catch his breath. Also, Stein-Firestorm was pretty great.

* I like that they're getting into why Kuasa's so pissed at Amaya. I also appreciate that temporal paradoxes are restraining a villain for a change. That's always more fun when it cuts both ways.

That was fun! Although Hedy Lamarr actually signed with MGM and not WB, but since it's a WB show, they can't really use the real MGM in the show and settled for themselves and the fictional K&G.

I'm enjoying the ride of this show so far without putting too much thought into it.

Eobard Thawne is still my favorite Arrowverse villain but damn if Darhk isn't threatening to eclipse him. Guy is just having fun out there, laughing at the absurd and enjoying himself.

Oh god, Sara's face as she figures out the switch before anyone announces the switch.
And Nate continuing to be a fucking dingdong. Just look at Sara's painful wince face at "This moron." Must be Freaky Tuesday.
And Zari's "I don't even care" response of "Cool" to this.
The actor usually playing Jax is having a great time with this switch. It's like he finally gets to do his Victor Garber impression in front of Victor Garber!
"Men always find a reason to fight." -Zari. Damn right.
"Nasty in the..." "I'll have you know Hedy Lamarr is my hall pass."
"Oh, you mean his prize WHORES..." "Did he just call us...?" *punch*
"You better not be calling your hall pass, Grey."
"You need a minute?" "No, I'm good."
"It gives me hope knowing that you come from a time where women have the same opportunities as men. " "Yeah, I wouldn't say that."
"You might want to pee first..." though ugh, don't tell someone to flush.
Yeah, trying to explain "I'm half of a nuclear powered superhero...."
"Sometimes you have to be crazy if you wish to burn bright."
Aw, for once Victor Garber gets to be the Man On Fire!
"I hacked history." Yup, it's Wonder Woman's island. I love how Sara wasn't boggled by Helen--the only time she wasn't banging a lady of history!
"They knew what they were getting when they brought me on."

to be fair, I'm not surprised that Mick is the type to not flush a number 2...

I think Sara generally have a good gaydar, and wouldn't be trying to woo a straight woman, which Helen seemed to be.

Good point, but she wasn't bowled over by Helen's face either.
*shrug* Dunno?
