I've never seen the uncut film, but I have to assume that Jim Batten gets a gruesome death scene and that it was cut for the MST3k broadcast. It remains one of the cruelest edits MST3k has ever performed when they deprived all of us the pleasure of seeing that character die.

Also, the guy who played him, Shawn Levy, is a big time producer now and is responsible for "Stranger Things". So nice turn around there, Shawn, from Zombie Nightmare infamy.
