I remembered the 2015 trailer when I saw this was going to be a Netflix series, but I'd forgotten it was for a comic book, and thought it was one of those projects where people create a trailer for a non-existent movie. Anyway, I've been looking forward to it dropping.

I don't have much to say about this episode in particular - it's a good set-up-the-basic-backstory pilot, and I liked it. At 9 episodes for the season, maybe this only needs a full-season thread, but, I haven't done a binge-postathon in a while, so, I'll see how many more episodes I can watch and post tonight.

(ok, I've changed my mind about doing a thread for each episode -- not because I'm not liking the show, but because I am, and after having to pause for the afternoon to go out on some errands after watching episode 3, I just want to zoom through the rest of the season without stopping.)

I really liked this first episode. The kid is great, and Nicole is a very believable mom handling a child with powers.
