Very much enjoyed the opening titles! And really curious about the light/reflection from the trees.

And really curious about the light/reflection from the trees.

I think it was just the windows of the house. When the sun got to a certain angle it reflected from the house to where they were in the lake.

I think it was just the windows of the house.

Oh that makes sense. No need to create more mysteries for this show!

This is such a good show with so much going on stylistically, thematically, and dramatically that I am irritated with myself for fixating on them not cleaning up the house. Bring some water up from the lake and mop or something. Make a broom out of an evergreen branch and pull down the spiderwebs. DAMN.

There's no way Adam showing up at the hotel was a coincidence. Does Shauna believe his story or does she not care?

I definitely find Adam deeply suspicious...

I love the main titles, on a par with AHS. Even better, the jaunty '90s punk pop song makes it all feel like the opening of some fucked up anime.

I love the main titles, on a par with AHS.

They are done by the masters of the genre - Digital Kitchen - who also did True Blood, Dexter, and Six Feet Under.

There's no way Adam is hanging out at that hotel casually. My first thought was that he could be the younger of the coach's sons, but wouldn't Shauna recognize/know him? He is deeply sus.

Good show. I'm working through it at the rate of one episode a night right now.

I remember reading somewhere that your best chance of surviving after a plane crash is to stay with the wreckage. This maximises your visibility from the air and keeps you close to the plane's known flight path, which any rescue plane will trace as its first step towards trying to find you. With that in mind, I thought they should have left half the people with the plane and sent the rest to bring back water from the lake in whatever portable containers they could improvise.

Anyone else find the funeral / attic / broken Manny sequence reminded them of The Haunting of Hill House?

I dunno about you but I wouldn't sleep in a seemingly abandoned cabin until I had explored every inch of it. And after burying my dead classmates I don't think finding the mummified remains of the former occupant would move my needle very much.
