A student steals a bag of candy meant to be given out to the kids at the end of the day and starts distributing it during school hours; Janine is invited to a Halloween party by an old friend and starts to reconsider her personal life.

Just a wee bit of Disney property cross-promotion going on in this one.

This was a fun little Halloween episode that played well under TV Halloween Episode Rules ("People have overly good costumes", "There must be a Scooby-Doo type mystery", "Someone's costume is one of the other characters"), and sometimes that's all you need.

I laughed at Melissa and her supposed assistant in the same outfits. And the use of Thanos. And the kid dressing up as the janitor. And Gregory being all "I'm Sully" and nobody has any idea what that guy looks like specifically beyond "wears pilot outfit." And Janine did look great in her final costume.

Love how much more time Mr Jackson gets this season. "I did not authorize the use of my likeness" and that stinger at the end.

Also that Spelling Bee costume was great.

This is insanely pedantic, but no way Gregory wore a Sully Sullenberger costume with 3 stripes. He is too pedantic not to insist on 4 stripes for Captain Sullenberger.
