Leverage: Redemption: The Walk in the Woods Job
December 1, 2022 1:00 PM - Season 2, Episode 5 - Subscribe

An explosion in a medical clinic, a super-skeevy private security contractor, and a secretive retreat for powerful men all get the team investigating and infiltrating.

This one is written and directed by Noah Wyle and it's nice to see that he gave himself the silliest and most self-deprecating bits.

Am now curious about other fictional depictions of Bohemian Grove -- I've seen this and the one from the US House of Cards.

I get way bored of Military Stuff, but having a ghillie suit (never stop being ridiculous), and Harry briefly posing as Elliot, and a guy coming back from the dead helped. Plus, safe tree.

Wikipedia has a pop culture section, though it misses some "inspired bys" like this episode of last season's Reservation Dogs.

I could never get into the original Leverage, but I'm in so charmed by the big Lib energy in this show. It's very "these writers have read all the same news stories as you, but they're trying not to be didactic about it."

I had not suspected Noah Wyle's talent for mimicry. He doesn't really have the low notes, but the gravel and the intonation were perfect.

Harry's monologue devolving into the motivational speech from Rocky was a nice touch.

And I enjoyed the contest between Sophie and Parker.
