Phryne's cousins and Aunt Prudence's household come under suspicion when a young girl is found drowned in her aunt's fountain on the eve of a party.
*At Dot's insistence, Hugh investigates the circumstances of Murdoch Foyle's cremation, and the two discover that Foyle succeeded in faking his death to get out of prison, and the body cremated was that of his foster-mother who had come to sign off on the procedure.

I think I found cousin Arthur's story more moving this time around. That Foyle was able to take advantage of Arthur's disabilities in the commission of his crimes, knowing that Arthur wouldn't be able to tell people what he saw in a way they'd believe, reminded me of how Jimmy Savile victimized people in psychiatric hospitals.
Up to this point, Aunt Prudence has been mostly comic character, just showing up to admonish Phryne on her wild behavior. But you could see in this episode how much she loves Arthur; and, honestly, he's probably a better son to her than Guy is. (Can any book-readers tell me what happened to Mr. Aunt Prudence? I'm assuming she's a widow, but I don't remember if it's been discussed in-show.)
Loved the Phyrne/Jack scene about the Marc Antony costume.

According to various sources, Aunt Prudence does not appear in the novels, so it's unlikely that Mr. Aunt Prudence has a backstory from the novels either.

Yeah, Aunt Pru, Arthur, Murdoch Foyle, the romance between Jack & Phryne - all of these were made up for the TV series.

In fact, in the books Phryne ends up in a polyamorous relationship - one I'm rather sad won't make it to the show.

I love that Mr Butler eats the fudge and its laced. That made the episode for me.
