Mystery Science Theater 3000: HERCULES AND THE CAPTIVE WOMEN
January 14, 2016 1:50 AM - Season 4, Episode 12 - Subscribe

"The weirdest! The wildest! Half woman! Half stone!" Hercules is so sleepy he can barely keep his eyes open, but there's rescuin' to do. The loaf-of-demigod travels there, rescues the titular women, defeats the evil queen, and... well, it takes place in Atlantis. You figure out what happens at the end. THIS MOVIE IS DEDICATED TO URANUS. There, it's out of my system for good I think. This is the last Hercules movie of the season. This episode gives us a short bit at the start where Gypsy is in the theater, and the host segment with the Hercules Inaction Figure. YouTube (1h33m) Premiered September 12, 1992.

For a bit I was considering cancelling the show tonight, or at least bowing out of it myself, but--

I HAVE FINISHED THE DRAFT OF MY BOOK!

And no that's not relevant to the club and I still have editing to do yes but I'm just so happy to be able to think about other things for a while.

Where was I? Ah yes, the show.

Every week we of the Metafilter MST3K Club have a group showing of the week's episode. This week we are on track for our usual showing at 9 PM Eastern time on Thursday evening (tonight), at:

The Club FAQ is at http://fanfare.metafilter.com/3469/MST3K-Club-Basics-and-Scheduling, but please note that the URL given within is now incorrect. (Well it always was incorrect, but now it's even less correct.)
