Saturday Night Live: Adam Driver / Chris Stapleton Season 41, Episode 10
Adam Driver brings the Star Wars nerdery, Fred Armisen returns to pay tribute to David Bowie, and apparently Liev Schriber is a bit of a freak.
Saturday Night Live: Tina Fey & Amy Poehler / Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band Season 41, Episode 9
Heavyweights return to show the whippersnappers how it's done, as Fey and Poehler hit the high notes (Clinton and Palin; a brief Weekend Update takeover; Maya Rudolph) and Springsteen et al make their third appearance to bust out some songs that are older than most of the current cast and end the show and the year with "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" (feat. Sir Paul McCartney).
Saturday Night Live: Chris Hemsworth / Chance the Rapper Season 41, Episode 8
Thor brings the funny in this sequel to his first hosting gig (is this the first time someone has hosted twice in the same calendar year?), and actually improves on the original.

Saturday Night Live: Donald Trump / Sia Season 41, Episode 4

Saturday Night Live: Amy Schumer / The Weeknd Season 41, Episode 2
Amy Schumer brings the noise in a tight stand-up monologue, and Weekend Update is finding its groove, but the rest is kind of limp. Considering that the host is a sketch artiste in her own right with plenty to say on her own show, the sketches are depressingly generic. Virtually any female guest host could have served as the overbearing friend at someone else's wedding shower, or a badly improv-ing Mary Todd Lincoln re-enactor, or even one of the flight attendants who fall out of the plane. [more inside]
Saturday Night Live: Miley Cyrus Season 41, Episode 1
The 41st season premiere brings us Miley Cyrus hosting for the third time (and musical-guesting for the second), only one new cast member (Jon Rudnitsky), and a not-at-all-surprise cameo from Hillary Clinton. [more inside]

The cast reminisce about their childhoods with their moms for the Mother's Day episode.
Saturday Night Live: Scarlet Johansson / Wiz Khalifa Season 40, Episode 19
ScarJo hosts for the fourth time (and first in five years) and proves herself as game as usual, even poking fun at her corporate masters about how maybe it's just as well there hasn't been a Black Widow movie, but the show leans a little heavy on Uncomfortable White Men for the humor.
Saturday Night Live: Taraji P. Henson / Mumford & Sons Season 40, Episode 18
A show that just felt... off, with a cold open that more or less just said "Kate McKinnon's going to be Hillary, so get used to her", a weird QVC sketch that didn't go anywhere, and two wheel-of-impressions sketches. On the plus side, a pretty strong Weekend Update that shows Colin Jost and Michael Che are comfortable with each other and the guest characters (including a lumpy Billy Crystal).
Saturday Night Live: Michael Keaton/Carly Rae Jepsen Season 40, Episode 17
Michael Keaton hosts for the first time since 1982 (which is before musical guest Carly Rae Jepsen was born). A few good Easter jokes, Weekend Update finally hitting its stride, and a goofy cameo by Norman Reedus. Fewer sketches that went on for longer and the show ran ... short?
Saturday Night Live: Dwayne Johnson / George Ezra Season 40, Episode 16
Franchise Viagra takes the reins for the fourth time, busting out "The Rock" Obama, paying tribute to his past with a deeply psychological take on wrestling feuds, and generally being charismatic and game for anything.
Saturday Night Live: Chris Hemsworth / Zac Brown Band Season 40, Episode 15
A lot of discussion of how dreamy Chris Hemsworth is, a couple of rocking performances by Zac Brown Band, a lively if blooperific Weekend Update, and another goddamn Former Porn Stars sketch give us an essentially "filler" episode this week.
Saturday Night Live: Dakota Johnson/Alabama Shakes Season 40, Episode 14
Dakota Johnson from "Fifty Shades of Grey" hosts for the first time. [more inside]

The star of "The Wedding Ringer" hosts for a second time. [more inside]

Saturday Night Live: Chris Rock/Prince Season 40, Episode 5
An uninterrupted eight minute set by Prince couldn't compensate for a night of flubbed lines and flat sketches.

Jim Carrey returns to host a frightfully uneven Halloween episode.
Saturday Night Live: Bill Hader and Hozier Season 40, Episode 3

Starlord returns to Earth to face his most terrifying ordeal yet -- hosting the 40th season premiere of Saturday Night Live.
Saturday Night Live: Andy Samberg and St. Vincent Season 39, Episode 21
The 39th season ends with a huge homecoming, two Digital Shorts, and a non-political cold open.
Saturday Night Live: Charlize Theron and the Black Keys Season 39, Episode 20
A perfectly acceptable episode, using Theron well enough and featuring a Weekend Update guest we didn't know we've been waiting for since the 1970s. [more inside]
