The Last Kingdom: Episode Four Show Only Season 1, Ep 4
To further his claim to the title of Ealdorman, Uhtred marries a wife selected for him by King Alfred, unaware of why his bride had been previously shunned by suitors. After the Danes invade and take a Wessex fortress, Alfred exchanges hostages, Uhtred among them, in another deal to bide time until he can properly deal with those who threaten the future of England.
