Chapo Trap House: Episode 156 - 38 Ways to Fix Puerto Rico feat. Aída Chávez (11/6/17)

Guest Aída Chávez of The Intercept talks about the state of Puerto Rico post-Hurricane: their debt, the relief efforts, and the shady contracting going on in the reconstruction. Then look at "38 Ways to Fix Democracy" courtesy of The Washington Post, preview Tuesday's elections, and pay tribute to Brendan James.

The discussion of Puerto Rico's debt is really good, and I was really glad to hear the hosts call out the cynical electoral politics angle some folks on Twitter have been taking with regard to migrants ending up in swing states.

Also the opening segment where they go through the creepy mandatory fun office photos of the Hillary for America tweet thread on the weekend was cringe gold.

Trash like that WaPo article has helped shift the Overton Window. Can't laugh hard enough at the idea that these enormous mainstream media conglomerates are in any way left-wing.
