Supergirl: In Plain Sight

Kara's investigation into William Dey's "criminal" activities results in the shocking revelation he is not who she thinks. Meanwhile, the conflict between Malefic and J'onn J'onzz reaches a boiling point.
Good-bye, James, too bad the writers could never figure out how to fit you into the show.
Where is Aunt Vi? Why didn't James or Kelly know about the giant multi-story prison looming over their hometown?
Loved the CRT monitors in the Calvintown paper's newsroom.
That was pretty clever having the wind woman (didn't catch her name) blow Kara out the window only to have Supergirl immediately arrive via the door.
“Hey, you really could’ve hurt that lady!” Kara then proceeds to break the wind woman (did she have a name) in half with a table. How did she survive?
James' father gave him a DSLR? Is that the same camera that was run over by a truck?
The teenager, Simon Kirby, is named after Guardian co-creators Joe Simon and Jack Kirby.

yeah I thought James' camera from his father got destroyed in season 1, and that encouraged him to be more of a reporter than a photographer. I don't think he's out of the show, but they'll focus on him being in Calvinton, and somehow the prison stuff will tie back to the main plot.

This link comments on Arrowverse shows in general, but the snark about James's leaving is absolute gold:
"Brainiac 5:
If I was not present for James’s heroic origins, then I need clarification: why did James become Guardian? Based on analysis of the last twenty years of superhero media, can I assume it involved the death of a loved one?
Kara Zor-El:
Sort of? Some crooks smashed the camera his father gave him.
Kelly Olsen:
Our dad’s camera? That can’t be. James just gave that camera to a kid back in Calvinville.
Kara Zor-El:
What!? So his whole origin story was just a big lie?"

I feel sad for Brainy.
I don't care about William and still find him suspicious.
