Mystery Science Theater 3000: MERLIN'S SHOP OF MYSTICAL WONDERS   Rewatch
September 7, 2022 11:52 PM - Season 10, Episode 3 - Subscribe

Re-rewatch! A kid is bored, so his grandfather tells him tales of wonder to entertain him. But the grandpa is Ernest Borgnine, and he tells the kid about Merlin setting up shop in a strip mall and sourcing dangerous magic items to the suburbian public. Starting to see why King Arthur had problems. This is another classic episode from the last season of the classic series. Previously and again.

I was gonna say, the kid's acting may be wooden, but to call him a "board" is a little harsh...

Well thanks a lot for correcting the original post, mefi mods! Now my joke doesn't make any sense!

Something I've always wondered... is Ernest Borgnine's character relating all the dialogue about how that one woman can't get pregnant when he tells his grandson the story? That seems like it is age inappropriate.

I also love the idea of a "respected" local news columnist whose beat is reviewing new retail outlets in the metropolitan area. Who says print media is dead?!
