Special Event: Rifftrax: ROAD HOUSE, 3 Riffers Edition

MST Club presents! Road House is known to long be a fixation of Mike Nelson (from the days of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and the beloved song "A Patrick Swayze Christmas"), back in 2006 when he was the only riffer, a riff of Road House was one of Rifftrax's very first releases. Well, ten years later they revisited the infamous movie about bouncing with a full stable of writers, and Mike, Kevin and Bill all riffing. You can get your own copy here, although as a "Just The Jokes" release you'll have to supply your own copy of the movie, either on disc or streaming, and sync it up yourself. You can use either the Disembaudio sync lines (I still think it's a genius solution), or by using the free Rifftrax App to do it for you automatically! Riff released in 2016.

Movie: Evil Dead II

When friends Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell set out to turn their 1978 short Within the Woods into a full-length film on a shoestring budget, what they came up with was The Evil Dead; a nauseating film, sure, but also a thunderstorm in a bottle that managed to splice black comedy with innovative technique to make a hugely beloved cult horror mainstay. But how could anybody follow up such an apparent fluke with a sequel? Well, if you're Raimi and Campbell, you take another run at the same story, with the insanity turned up to 11, and in the process you practically invent a new genre of film.
