Low on fuel, supplies, and credits, the crew of the Ghost are on the search for a job to remedy their problems. A simple card game for Zeb goes awry when he bets Chopper and loses to the man who ends up hiring the gang for a quick job. His name? Lando Calrissian. In a short story concerning Twi'lek slavery, hedging one's bets, and the usefulness of a solidly constructed tray, everyone, including one of the smoothest talking smugglers in the galaxy, end up with something close to what they were aiming for. Also, Ezra gets the opportunity to demonstrate one of the abilities of his lightsaber and Lando hits on every woman on the Ghost. [more inside]

Rebels returns in media TIEs with the Ghost in hot pursuit by the Inquisitor and Imperial forces. A tracking device planted on the small detachable shuttle, Phantom, allows Kanan and Ezra to lead the following Imperials away from the rest of the crew and their valuable cargo, Peebo, a rodian with a head full of Imperial secrets. The Jedi and apprentice return to the abandoned Clone Wars era asteroid base with a hope to use the base's "natural" defenses against their pursuers. It's Empire Day across the galaxy in celebration of the founding of the of the Galactic Empire, but the day also holds a special significance for Ezra Bridger. The crew of the Ghost have their own plans on celebrating Empire Day, while Imperial forces conduct extensive searches for a certain Rodian who shares a past with Ezra and possesses knowledge of the Empire's future plans that may be invaluable for the rebels.

Whilst undercover, his and another recruit's natural aptitude at defeating the challenges placed before the recruits attracts the attention of their teachers who in turn notify those who have an interest in young men and women who appear gifted. Set only five years before two droids crash land on Tatooine and into the life of Luke Skywalker, Spark of Rebellion begins our story on a rural planet in the Outer Rim with Ezra Bridger, a force sensitive orphan, with a habit of stealing, conning, and causing trouble with Imperial forces. This leads to his run in with the crew of the Ghost, a nascent band of rebels, in the midst of stealing weapons from the Empire. Caught up with the crew, Ezra finds himself traveling from an Imperial star destroyer to the spice mines of Kessel and ultimately, a new adventure in life. [more inside]
